WEEK 55: July 1, 2019 "Encontraremos alegria. Encontraremos pleno amor (We will find joy. We will find full love)"

Bagunça! (Mess!)

This week was pretty normal. I don’t really have very much to say but I will try to make this email super interesting.

So me and Sister Mahoney gained a nickname in our district. "The queens of marriage." We are working with 7 couple to get married right now. You wouldn't believe how much Brasil doesn't want its citizens to MARRY! Also awkwardly some of these couples also don't want to marry. But we are planning a bus to the chapel to get all these people legally married. So that is happening. If any of you need a wedding planned, you know who to call.

We also started working with Dilce. He is the "husband" (also not married legally) of a member. But it is a situation really complicated. BUT we started working with them. I felt like I was really helping someone. Rosalane is his "wife" and she is super happy that we are working with them. Because she was feeling so alone in the gospel.

We also had a MIRACLE!

Someone that we only made street contact with WENT TO CHURCH!!! Her name is Sabrina and it was super special. The whole meeting I was thinking about her on a mission. She is 20 years old. I just kept thinking about it and thinking about it. And she was crying like the whole meeting. She LOVED IT! We are going to go back this week but I have high hopes for her.

otherwise. In the works of my dear companion, "it was a great week even though we got rejected a million times over" But that's normal.

ALSO MY BROTHER IS OFFICIALLY AN ELDER!! WHOO HOO!!! Now Brazil has 2 Hammonds rocking this world. We are gonna change lives and speak Portuguese. (Check out his blog here. It's elderandrewhammond.blogspot.com )

This week I wanted to challenge you guys to write a letter to a missionary that ISN’T ME! But I was thinking the other day how happy every single letter makes me. Whether it is from my mom, my best friend, or someone random, I get so happy. You are helping the missionaries more than y'all know if you write them a simple letter. (Mom: I am adding Andrew's and Becca's mailing addresses below.  They would each LOVE a real snail mail letter! Use a Global stamp like the one on this envelope.)
