WEEK 49: May 20, 2019

ME AND MY NEW COMPANION SISTER MAHONEY!!!

This week was great. Actually one of the best weeks of my mission! So my new companion: SISTER MAHONEY!!! She is amazing. She is from Heber Utah. But we have like the same personality so it’s working out wonderfully.

So this week we had a ton of miracles!!! The first was with Bruno. A few weeks ago he went to church with his brother who is a recent convert. So we were like, "wow. What a great opportunity! Already went to church. LETS GO!!!" So we went to visit him. WE taught him about the Restoration of the church and asked if he would pray about it. And he said YES! and he said, "I know that God will give me an answer because he wants me to have an eternal life." Then his brother said, "Dude. I know this is the true church. You should definitely be baptized." And in his prayer he said, "Please bless Bruno to get an answer so he can be baptized in thy true church." It was adorable. So Bruno is going well.

Another Miracle!!! I will tell you now!!!

So on Friday our district leader called and said, "How many street contacts have you done this week?" And I was like, "Uh.... 59." And he said, "Okay. I want you to do 140 before Sunday." And I said, "Sir yes sir." And we went AT IT!! We talked to EVERYONE" And on Saturday, the LAST CONTACT that we made on the street was with a man named Paulo. We invited him to go to church and he said, "Wow. You two really are angels sent from God. I need church. I need this message in my life." AND HE WENT THE NEXT DAY AND BROUGHT HIS GIRLFRIEND!!! After the meeting I went to talk to him and he said, "Yeah. I just have a lot of depression because i just have a lot of questions without answers like if I die, where will I go? And do I have some kind of purpose here in life?" And I thought, "HAVE WE GOT GOOD NEWS FOR YOU MY FRIEND!!!" We never would have talked to him if it wasn't for the challenge of our District Leader!!!

Another miracles involves a family! So the other day (when I was still with Sister Alves) we spent one day trying to track down inactives in Capão do Leão!! And that day we found a family that lives very hiddenly in like a straight up forest. It was a family of NTM (not all are members). So we started teaching them. This week we went back and turns out that TWO RETURNED MISSIONARIES MOVED INTO THE HOUSE OF THAT FAMILY!!! They said they are going to go to our group every Sunday and they will do whatever it takes to help us teach and baptize that whole family!!! So we are praying a ton!!!

GUYS GOD DOES LOVE ALL HIS CHILDREN!!!
