WEEK 57: July 15, 2019 “Cara. Pergunte Deus.” (“Face. Ask God.” - huh?)

Ola!!!

Wow. The weeks are passing faster and faster. This week... was super... low-key. Let me see if I have something good to say.

So we taught two women and it was hilarious it went something like this:

Me: So this is the plan that our loving Heavenly Father created for us

Sandra: I already knew some Mormons one time. One was a blonde American like you guys. They were super interesting and always asking me to pray about what they said. But I never prayed.

Sister Mahoney: That is also our invitation for you tod...

Sandra: My husband died and so it was hard to want to pray. Sister Mahoney, Do you have a problem in your eyes. You should stop touching your eyes or you are gonna get a disease.
*Sister Mahoney looks at me to translate or respond*

Me: But God protects us so we can help prepare people to be baptized and we want....

Sandra: Mom let’s get baptized in the Mormons. It is so close. I think there are only two true churches. The Mormons and the Jehovah's witnesses. But the Jehovah's witnesses is so far and the Mormons is just on the corner.

Mom: I am already baptized.

Sandra: Yes but that is not the true church. Its gotta be the Mormons mom.

BASICALLY they just talked a ton haha.

We also had an investigator really special go to church!! Her name is Maria Clara. She is darling. 15 and her mom is a less active member. She received an answer really strongly and is preparing to be baptized soon.

ANYWAYS! My time is up but this week i wanna challenge you to send one video from the Mormon Channel on Youtube to a friend. Those videos are super powerful and really can change lives. (No longer called the Mormon Channel.  Now called The Church of Jesus Christ Channel.)

Just a family that isn't super relevant anymore because stopped progressing but still is relevant to God.

Mom questions:

What is going really well for you right now?

right now we are just seeing little miracles. I am just glad to be able to feel the Spirit and I am working really hard to listen to the little impressions that come. 

What are you most grateful for in this area?

I love that I got to meet Sister McGee. She has become one of my closest friends and we are always laughing together. 

When have you seen the hand of the Lord in your life this week?

I think I just am getting small answers to my prayers. I never thought that the mission could have a negative impact on my testimony but I passed a few difficult weeks in that aspect but this week I got to see answers to my prayers through small impressions from the Spirit that this is the right path. 

How is the group?

Great! A ton of members and investigators are always there. 

How is the ward?  Any more reverent?

YES!!! The switch to sacrament meeting first is helping a ton. 

Any new investigators?

Not really. Nobody that is progressing right now. 

Did Maria end up getting baptized?

no..... it’s a huge complicated situation. We are hoping for this week.  Her mom got all crazy and decided that she wasn’t ready and stuff... it was awful
