WEEK 44 (10+ MONTHS!): April 15, 2019 "MILAGRES SÃO REAIS!!!!!!"

(MIRACLES ARE REAL)
10 month anniversary!!!

With the kid of a recent convert. Bryan. He said if we took a pic he would give us a kiss.
Ola! Êlo!!! Oi!!!! Tudo Bom!!!!

This week was maravilhosa!!! Wow. We started working in another neighboring city this week. (so we live and work in Jardim América and this week we went to the city of Capão do Leão) And we saw MIRACLESSS!

The first day I was feeling frustrated because we weren’t having a ton of success. So we decided to pray (great decision). When we said "ámen" we started walking and I saw a bunny! I got super excited and ran over! The owner was there and I asked if I could take a picture with the bunny. She said yes and I took the picture and we offered our message. She accepted and it was a lesson SUPER spiritual. Her name is Grazi and she is 18. She said at the end of the message that it answered all the questions that she had recently been asking herself!!! She asked for 3 of my favorite chapters to read in the Book of Mormon and got super excited to visit the church!!! We left that lesson and I literally cried. I was so happy. She is special and I felt the spirit testify that she really is someone that I needed to find on my mission. So that was an amazing experience.
BUNNY OF GRAZI!!!!

This week we also found Antônio! Remember when I told most of you that I wanted to serve a mission because I wanted to see the look on someones face when I told them that families could be together forever(question mark that doesn’t exist on this computer) Well Antônio was that person! He frequents a church that believes that after we die, we just walk around as angels without relationships at all. So we taught him about the Plan of Salvation, and when I started talking about eternal families; the spirit entered so strongly. I started testifying about how much I love my family and how much I wanted to be with them forever. And how much I treasured the plan of salvation because of that. He started tearing up and I started tearing up and Sister Alves too. When I asked him what he was feeling he said, "I just love my daughter so much and I can't imagine eternity without her. I want an eternal family too." The spirit was so strong, testifying of the truthfulness of eternal families.

There were other small miracles too but these were the highlights of my week!!
With a member who is visiting with us EVERY WEEK!!! Quethlyn!!! LOVE HER!!!!

This week is EASTER!!! And so I have a unique challenge for you. I want you to get together with your family and sing "He Sent His Son," from the primary hymn book (pg. 34). I am teaching this music to my comp who never went to primary and we always feel the spirit so strong.

I love you guys!!!

Com amor,
Sister Hammond

  1. I came across a link to your blog on Facebook. I was so excited to see you’re working in Jardim America. I was there in 2007. I met some amazing people there and had some amazing experiences . Tell Juan and Susana that Broderick said hi. They are truly a special family. I was there to witness their baptisms.
