WEEK 5: Jul 18, 2018
AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH Guys I would totally put some awesome Portuguese opening, but I am just TOO EXCITED!!!! I LEAVE THE CTM ON TUESDAY!!!! I AM FINALLY GOING TO O CAMPO!!! (the field. lol) I am just so grateful for the opportunity that I had to be at the CTM. It is so amazing and I have learned so much. But on a more real note, I AM SO EXCITED TO TEACH REAL PEOPLE!!
Nothing super amazing happened this last week, but I ate CHICKEN HEART! On Pday we can go explore a little bit of Sao Paulo and our Instructor took us to this yummy place with Açai bowls and chicken hearts and it was DELICIOUS. I have eated açai a lot here, but the last time I had chicken hearts was at Tuchanos. You could see the like veins and stuff which was gross but they tasted like heaven. Although all food tastes like heaven compared to the food here.
We get to go to the temple every week here and it is amazing. I can talk to all the workers in portuguese and it feels so amazing to actually be talking to Brazilians in Portuguese!! Everything is just kinda the same. Class, food, devotionals, food, class. But it is so amazing to see everyone with that little black plaquete and to know that we are all here helping people come unto Christ!!
I wish I had more to report on, but it's all just been so normal! If you have any specific questions about my life here, email me! Also email me about your lives! I love you all so much!!
This week Sister Rosenberg and I had the opportunity to teach about enduring to the end. If you want a powerful passage of scripture to read, look at 2 Nephi 31. Wow. It is so important that we really realize what we believe in. If you are a member of the church of Jesus Christ, what is your testimony built on? When hard times come, do you believe you can turn to God and Jesus Christ? If you are not a member, what do you believe? What is it that gets you through the hard times in your life? It is so important to know what you believe in and what you can rely on when it gets hard.
