WEEK 70: October 14, 2019 (16 months) “VOCE E UM ESPELHO QUE REFLETE A IMAGEM DO SENHOR”

WOOWWW!!!
This week was amazing gente. I am just so happy to be on the mission!!!
so I will tell y’all a great story about Leandro. (Leandro is a almost 14 year old who's grandma and uncle have been learning from the missionaries for some time.)
So we decided that this week would be his baptism. But we were insanely nervous. Because last year the sisters tried to baptize his sister but his mom wouldn’t authorize it... so we thought that she would never authorize his baptism. ALSO because she avoided us this whole time that we are teaching him. So on Tuesday we invited him to the house of a recent convert here and... invited him to be baptized on Saturday! He said that he wanted to really badly. So we were stoked. First step, worked out. Then we went EVERY DAY FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK TRYING THE FIND HIS MOM but she kept avoiding us. He even had done his baptismal interview and everything was ready. So Friday. The day before his baptism we HAD to find his mom. So we decided to fast about it. We fasted and COULDN’T FIND THE MOM THE WHOLE DAY! She literally closed her store when she saw us coming. So we were so nervous.
But that night we went to fill out his baptismal register paper and we got to the part of his mom’s signature. So we talked to him and he just picked up the paper and went to talk to her and she signed it like... in 2 seconds and that was it. IT WAS SO EASY!!! Guys. God really does want to bless us and when we show our faith... he really can perform miracles.
Leandro's baptism was super special and the baptismal witnesses.... THE SISTERS!!! Whooo hooo for modern revelation!!! I love the mission and I love my area and I love serving Jesus Christ.
This week I want to challenge you guys to pray for someone that you know that in passing for something hard. I know that you all already do this but this week I felt really strongly to start praying for another missionary and only afterwards, did I find out why. I know that prayer has power and that God really does want to answer our prayers and bless all of his children.
